Part of the Immersed in Nature series – a collection of mixed media and collage paintings celebrating our connection with, and the healing power of immersion in nature.
Immersing myself in nature, really being present, using all my senses, feeling the wind on my face, and smelling the plants and earth, helps me to feel grounded and supported.
I look to nature not only as a friend and teacher, but also as a place where I can connect with something greater than myself. I have infused the emotions and qualities of being in nature in this series.
Walking and being in nature, has really helped me, and has become an important part of my creative process and inspiration for my artwork.
